Student Loan Payment

I have after all the bills and money set aside for gas and groceries exactly $41 left in my checking account. I was thinking of sending $41 to World Alliance my next debt on my snowball list but think it will be more beneficial to pay my student loan payment. Since there's interest tacked on to those payments each month and it'll keep me ahead of the game as well. My next payment will be due on April 6,2009 and than i'll make another Payment in March as well. Ummmm very tempted to do so I'm sure I'll "blow" the money on something useless if I don't send in the payment.

    Sounds like your making the right moves to get the debt paid off. Make sure you pay yourself first sometimes too. We budget $25 a week to just go have fun with, dinner and a movie, or just whatever. It's not always bad to "blow" money.

    Swanson719- Yes I allocate $75 to my savings before anyone gets paid each month. I have cut back on "blow" money here lately but think it wouldn't hurt to squeeze in some fun through out the month. Thanks

    I have the same thought pattern as you about spending the money on something useless if I don't send in the payment. lol. I try to get myself motivated to see the balance on my student loan go down as opposed to my debt going up.
